To advance travel medicine education, our lectureships support leading researchers and clinicians from all over the world to share the latest scientific evidence and clinical best practices at international conferences. These knowledge exchange initiatives provide the most up-to-date developments to practitioners who care for travellers.

The Marcolongo Lectures at ASTMH

The Dr. Vincenzo Marcolongo Memorial Lecture is held annually at the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene meetings. Since 1990, we are proud to support a distinguished researcher or clinician to present on the latest developments in travel and tropical medicine. The lectureships cover diverse topics in infectious, environmental, and non-communicable diseases.

The IAMAT-Supported Symposium on Psychological Health of Travellers and Migrants at ISTM

This symposium is presented at the biennial congress of the International Society of Travel Medicine. Since 2021, we support travel medicine clinicians specializing in mental health to present on topics of psychological health, cultural adaptation and resilience. The presentations focus on providing practitioners with the knowledge and clinical tools to integrate mental health screening in their practice.
